BROKEN YOKE MINISTRIES Begun in 1987, Broken Yoke Ministries offers correspondence support to those with sex-related offenses in and out of correctional facilities.
BROTHER BOB'S OUTREACH In response to the Lord’s commission, Brother Bob’s Outreach (BBO) is a pioneering and innovative Christian prison ministry whose staff and volunteers have numbered in the hundreds during its years of service. While an independent Bible teaching ministry, it has involved churches and denominations across Wisconsin and the Milwaukee area since the mid 80’s and is now in the Philippines since September of 2002.
The primary ministry vehicle is Bible teaching accomplished in on-site, interactive Bible Study settings with worship services, one-on-one pastoral visits and correspondence courses. A sports ministry, inmate correspondence and prayer support involving groups and individuals are all designed to involve both regular and “non prison attending” volunteers.
OUR MISSION Mentors break the cycle by helping mentees overcome the many obstacles preventing successful reclamation in society.
God Touch MKE is a six month to one year residential program for men coming off the streets or out of the prison system. They are shown acceptance and love, and given hope through Godly teaching, mentoring, and hands-on practical opportunities such as employment and life skills. God is moving in our men’s lives, helping them to overcome some of life’s biggest obstacles as they learn to lean on the life giver, Jesus Christ. As God moves in their lives, they have a love for God and people, and willingly work together to reach into our community. God is working in Milwaukee, and God Touch MKE is one of the great tools He is using to change lives, one man at a time.
Correctional Ministries and Chaplains Association (CMCA) is a professional organization, founded in May 2011, through which Christians can celebrate their faith and passion for correctional ministry with other individuals, organizations, and churches; develop professionally through online resources, trainings, and certifications; and be inspired through uplifting journal articles, networking, and conferences. Connecting, encouraging, and equipping Christians as they fulfill the Great Commission in Corrections. |
